I've never been to a horse race before so when i was asked to speak at the NFRC AGM being held at Kempton Park racecourse i was excited.

Steve is President of NFRC, the UK's largest roofing trade association and he kindly chose Parkinson's UK as their charity partner for the year. I met Steve at their awards dinner last year and we hit it off immediately. He is a really lovely man.
I always put a bet on the Grand National and I pick just based on name and jersey colours but it hasn't worked out for me so far. Steve ran me through the basics of studying racing form so i could make informed decisions.
I didn't win anything but that's ok, we had fun and raised a generous amount for the charity. And i got to learn something new.
