When I received an invite in my inbox to a rum scavenger hunt in a man-made lake underneath a Shepherd’s Bush shopping centre I thought someone might be joking with me. But when I saw the email was from Sam Bompas of super creative events duo Bompas and Parr I knew it wasn't a hoax, just likely to be the most fun I've ever had.

TH' EPIC RUM QUEST OF CAPTAIN PINEAPPLE 'N TH' B*TCHT*TS
Th' journey began on foot through Sailortown where we left coats 'n bags 'n headed fer boats armed wit' a map 'n a vessel fer collectin' all items along th' way.
SPICE BOAT
First up in th' galleon we met th' spice beauty who offered us spices if we could guess th' smell. Successfully guessin' cardamom we looted some t' add t' our drink. Seein' that we were strugglin' wit' rowin' (Terri, th' valiant Captain Pineapple, doin' it all by herself) th' spice beauty hopped in our galleon 'n joined our crew.
ST CLEMENTINE'S ROCK
Avoidin' a rain shower we circumnavigated a shipwreck 'n collected shells fer Captain Morgan 'n lemons fer punch.
FORGOTTEN FORT
Next we docked on an island 'n met a salty sea dog who set us a challenge, a tug-o'-war between Captain Pineapple 'n our stowaway, now given th' name B*tcht*ts. If she was victorious she would choose th' mixer fer our punch. Luckily our cap'n be strong.
NEON NECTAR ISLE
Then we travelled t' a forbidden wood 'n met wit' a witch. She made us howl t' let out our darkness in exchange fer some sweetness in th' form o' passionfruit syrup 'n honey.
CAVE OF WONDERS
At this point our stowaway left us 'n we sailed on t' meet Captain Morgan in his opulent cave 'n we chose th' container fer our punch, a conch shell.
PORT ROYAL
We were welcomed into th' tavern wit' a 'Huzzah' 'n our punch was finished wit' Captain Morgan spiced rum. We sat down t' enjoy our spoils.
We had so much fun in the Lost Lagoon, trippy, bonkers, swashbuckling fun.
