84. Contact karate


I always thought I might be ok at punching because I'm quite strong in the upper body and I have surprisingly good balance.

Beckie is Research Communications Manager at Parkinson's UK and it turns out a bit sporty on the side. She has been doing Contact Karate for just over a year and is already an orange belt.

I had great fun trying Contact Karate, a boxing style karate which made me feel strong and coordinated. It's something I would love to do again!
